    Just installed Minitube version 3.2 for Linux (Solus 4.0) and it works great! Thank you Flavio, Mille grazie Flavio!

  2. Peppino says:

    XaRaI,

    can you please tell us how to install Minitube on Solus OS?

  3. xarai says:

    Ok below you can read the steps i did to install minitube 3.2 on Solus 4.0.

    Install Minitube on Solus OS 4.0

    Need 3 config files:

    1.Actions.py
    2.Component.xml
    3.Minitube_3.2.xml

    Need 1 installation file:

    1.Minitube_3.2.deb

    This is the file you have downloaded from flavio’s website, minitube.deb. You have to rename it to Minitube_3.2.deb as mentioned in the config files (read below).

    Installation:

    Make an new directory named ‘minitube’ for example.
    Copy Actions.py, Component.xml, Minitube_3.2.xml, minitube_3.2.deb into the new directory minitube.

    Run these command via terminal:
    Cd (change directory) to the location where you made the new directory
    Check if the sha1sum=”fbdd6441126531f01019cd6c7eafae9275f4b493″ on minitube_3.2.deb

    Sha1sum minitube_3.2.deb
    sudo eopkg bi –ignore-safety minitube_3.2.xml
    sudo eopkg it Minitube-3.2-1-1-x86_64.eopkg

    Ready, now you will see minitube appear in the Solus menu.

    Disclaimer: This is an experimental way of installing, so there is no garantee, you do this on your own risk!

    Good luck.

    Below 3 config files you can make your self with pasting in the text editor.

      Hi XaRaI,

      thank you very much for the Tutorial, i have try it -with my avarege knowledge- to compile the files but without luck :(
      I dont know what to do with :1,;
      “then base64 -d component.txt > component.xml”
      and 2;
      “then base64 -d minitube_3.2.txt > minitube_3.2.xml”
      what do you mean with it? and where to put this or do this?
      Sorry, i cannot figure it out..
      Cold you maybe compile a installable minitube.eopkg file and upload it somewhere for Solus users? that would be really the best or maybe making a Video Tutorial for youtube ? :)

      Thank you very much & Best Regards !
