Minitube 1.4.3
This bug fix release finally fixes some videos not starting, especially in languages different than English. Here’s the rest of the changelog:
- Hide toolbar and playlist in fullscreen on mouseleave (multiscreen) (Patch by Rob Halff)
- Fixed volume level in the statusbar showing as a decimal (Patch by mru00)
- Fixed disabled search box when in fullscreen on Linux
- New and updated translations from Transifex

Ciao Flavio, prima di tutto complimenti! Ho scaricato e installato Minitube per ubuntu, prima dall’ubuntu software center (vecchia versione) e poi dal tuo sito, rimuovendo la precedente. Al momento quindi ho minitube 1.4.3 e ubuntu 10.10. Il mio problema è semplice: nonostante sia caricata correttamente la playlist il programma ripete sempre lo stesso video e non passa mai al successivo, quale potrebbe essere il problema?

Che Phonon backend usi? Prova GStreamer
Io ho installato minitube (1.4.3-1~lffl~natty~ppa) dal tuo repository sul Ubuntu Natty e tutto funziona a parte il fatto che è in inglese. Il mio sistema è impostato in italiano, ma minitube si ostina ad usare i messaggi in inglese. Mi aiuti a diagnosticare dove sta il problema?

Ottimo software che mi dispiace aver scoperto solo adesso! Ho provato anche Minitunes ma trovo che manchi la possibilità di editare alcuni metadati, almeno l’artista, l’album e il titolo…

A streaming video playing with almost no buffer, why? It works lovely on a speedy connection, anything else and the entire app becomes unusable.
I suggest that you implement “stop after this video”.
For a reference, see the music player Clementine (http://www.clementine-player.org/) which have this feature.

Hi Flavio and everyone, i really wanted to know how to solve the problem with the looping videos. I tried uninstalling phonon-backend-xine and using phonon-backend-gstreamer or vlc backend but the videos keep repeating (by the way, same thing happen with songs in minitunes). Should i look for another version of phonon or something?? I’m really new in linux, so i don’t know how to fix this, and i haven’t found any answer in the ubuntu forums.

I just started using Linux Mint 11 and downloaded minitube. It worked for about a month even after I downloaded the 1.4.2 update but now the videos come up but won’t play nor will they download. In that mode it just says not found.
i installed minitube 1.4.3 version(trial) for windows but it dosnt show the videos and 1.6 version expired after few minutes, please help me.
That’s the way the demo works. You had a demo for ages (since 1.4.3?) and now it expired. Now you can choose the get the full version or uninstall. Cheers.
@Baffled is right! It will be awesome if an extended buffer could be implemented in future releases! Not all of us have the privilege of a fast bandwidth (ex. At the office the internet connection speed is fixed an lowered) so MiniTube becomes a choppy player and makes it unusable! I hope this feature can be implemented in soon releases. THANKS ;)
