I have been experienced some random craches when attemting to watch videos, and there is apparently no pattern that i can detect that trigger the crash. Just now I ran it using gdb, and this is what it said:

    Hi,
I’m having a problem today also … below is the output from minitube … the video that it tries to start is one I was watching the other day … FYI … running youtube from the browser works OK.

My system is Slackware 13.37 64bit and I compiled minitube myself.

    cheers

    Floating exception

YHea, i should also state my system. I run Minitube on Mandriva 2010.2 and Mageia 2, and both systems experience this «Arithmetic exception» error.

I also compiled mimitube myself, and I am mandriva’s maintainer of mimitube.

I am experiencing the same forbidden 202 error as peter folled by the floating point exception, which crashes minitube instantly.
I first got it with my version I compiled from source, so I tried several different versions/PPAs/.debs with the same outcome.

After some searching around the net, it seems that this is an issue on youtube’s side and they may have changed somethings today (it was working fine until a few hours ago) because this issue is appearing in multiple youtube downloaders and related apps.

hopefully someone can find the cure [fingers crossed]

As I said, I’ve tried to post here with an error report several time. It says, “ERROR: Your reply cannot be created at this time.

Could someone from technical support email me about this and then I’ll send the error report in my reply.

I think maybe youtube makes some changes that crash minitube, I started to have this problem yesterday but only with some videos, today I have the problem with all videos, I have the 1.8 version running under ubuntu 12.04 but we need to confirm the problem in other plataforms. Please confirm the problem.
