I have a VERY good idea for your app ;)

Create plugins/extensions/addons, so when a embedded video is detected, it would create a link to your app so you can watch the videos there! I hope you do this one day ;)

what about login? I have subscribed to only a few channels I REALLY see every single video they upload. Is such feature in your to-do list?

yes, I wanted to see what video was and then I wanted to watch it in minitube, but it just skips to the next video (it might be because the original one is really long? more than an hour) and even double clicking just pause the next video, clicking “play” resumes the OTHER video, but not this one…

I like the idea very much and the software works great and smooth. There is one thing missing though… i can “only” search via keywords. How about another field where user could drop a link to any youtube video or the id itself? Without it i still need to open clips via flash/web. The best feature ever would be to associate youtube urls with minitube so when a user clicks on such link anywhere on any website it opens up straight in minitube.

Will you consider any of those features?

Ciao Flavio. Ho provato minitube e devo dire che mi piace molto, i video si vedono molto bene e soprattutto senza scatti (come mi succedeva sempre dal sito), ma mi chiedevo se ci sarà una nuova versione del programma. Perchè secondo me ha bisogno di tante migliorie, non so come ad esempio un player anche a schermo intero, oppure una lista con tutti gli ultimi video caricati su youtube.

Secondo me minitube è già abbastanza buono così ma se vengono messi tante e piccole migliorie sarebbe un programma ancora più completo e più semplice da usare.

comunque devo dirtelo, sei un grande!!!! ;-)

However, the download feature could be improved:

There should be 2 options:

-Download Video
-Download Audio Only (and convert to MP3) for registered users.

Hello, i’m using ubuntu 11.10 32bits…for what i’ve seen the app it’s in perfect armony between design and functionability (or at least for a lot of people) But i have the problem that it never loads videos…the program load the thumbnails but the video never starts…I opened minitube on a terminal to see if i could get any answers…but since i’m a graphic designer and not a programmer, i got no idea why it’s not working… it keeps retrying to load the video…obviosuly it doesn’t download the video either…what i get is:
