This would be great as I have a few missing images.

It could be nice, especially if the image or cover is set by drag’n'drop.

On the other hand, until now I avoided features the require the user to add “data” to the db. Right now you don’t have to backup your Musique data because it can be recreated at any time. If we start adding custom images, then you’ll have to backup your data.

I tend to think that people interested in adding custom data are a minority compared to those that just want the app to show them their library. So this kind of things get a lower priority.

In a corollary, I have many artists whose pictures simply do not show up, even though they have pages on last.fm. Manual upload could help until things like this stabilize. Though I suppose fixing the last.fm thing would be a better plan :D

For an example, DECO*27 and Daughtry. The latter used to show up, and now does not.

Using Minitunes v1.0 with Fedora 15:

I found that I can manually add the missing images (for Linux, this is in $HOME/.local/share/data/Flavio Tordini/Minitunes/albums), then select “Change collection folder…” so it gets rescanned.

Or even better you can add photos on Last.fm and have the whole world use them.

I have the same problem as Raven, there are some artists whose id3 is well filled and have their page on the last fm sit that don’t have pictures in Musique (ie Martina Topley Bird, General Elektriks, Medesky Martin & Wood and many others)

GRAZIE!

i’ve been doing what paul suggest and it works perfect for artist with singles name, but for the one with composed names is hard to know what filename musique associates with them, in some cases names are in reverse while in anothers they are normal, expression like the and “and” does not appear and so it goes. I think this is may what caussing artist without photos even if they have last.fm pages. Is there anyway to know what name musique has associate for each artist?
