MiniTube is designed to make you feel like you’re watching some sort of TV channel. You don’t think, you just watch. I think there could be a little more focus on the overall experience. Like instead of the home screen just being a search field, add a profile page, so you can see your own videos and new videos from your subscriptions, hot videos and such.

And instead just leave the already implemented search field to the work, it does exactly the same, except it doesn’t have the “History” or “Top hits” feature like you’ll find in most browsers today. Also things like comments and channels. All those great things that you get from the YouTube.com, combined with the great UI and the non-use of flash player will just make it the most amazing way of watching videos.

Hi Mathias, thanks for the suggestion. Subscriptions are a much requested feature. http://flavio.tordini.org/forums/topic/youtube-subscription-support

I’ll have to rework the “search view”. If you have a proposal (a simple wireframe), please let me know.
